Where Popkum Sits
Popkum is in the eastern Fraser Valley, east of the Chilliwack core along Highway 1. It is closer to Rosedale and the eastern edge of Chilliwack’s service area than to Sardis or downtown. The highway runs past, and unless you know the exit, you would never know this community exists.
That obscurity is part of the appeal. You are not in a neighbourhood that people cut through on their way somewhere else. You are in a pocket of prestige that requires intention to reach.
Getting to Sardis and the main Chilliwack amenity corridor takes about fifteen to twenty minutes. Highway 1 access is direct, so commuting east toward Hope or west toward Abbotsford is straightforward.

Popkum families are in the School District 33 Chilliwack catchment, though some eastern properties may fall into the neighbouring district. Students travel to Chilliwack or Rosedale-area schools. The drive is part of the lifestyle trade-off that comes with eastern Fraser Valley living.
